City of Grace Mesa

Looking around the jam packed auditorium at 11:30 in Scottsdale this past weekend I struggled to control the lump in my throat and the tears on my cheeks. It was an amazing thing to catch another glimpse of all that God is doing in this extraordinary family called City of Grace. Here are just a few examples of what God is doing....

• Since the beginning of the year we have seen approximately 500 people accept Christ in our weekend services.
• This past weekend dozens experienced the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
• The reports of people being healed, families being restored, and financial needs being met seem to increase every week.
• Our leaders are rising to new levels of competence and creativity.
• In just a few weeks we will break ground on our new children's center in Scottsdale.

All of that and more is taking place right in the middle of another scorching Arizona summer! I can't even imagine what we are going to experience in another month when everyone returns and settles into the Fall routine.

My devotional reading this morning took to me to a passage that reflects what I am feeling... "All of this is for your benefit. And as God's grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. That is why we never give up.... (2 Corinthians 4:15-16 (NLT)

I want to encourage you to take time to thank God for all He is doing in our lives and all that He has promised to perform. We have so much to be thankful for!
