City of Grace Mesa

After a couple of months of absence from the blog world, I'm back. (Thanks for sending out the St. Bernard with the cask to find me!) My absence has been based on a couple of things:

First, the past few months have involved 70+ hour work weeks with very little time for personal musing. In fact, it's been a bit of a struggle just to maintain my devotional life. The good news is that we have conquered some of the early challenges associated with the transition and life has taken on some degree of normalcy. Our church family seems stable. (Qualifier intended!) Our ministry team is working well together. And the river of God's presence in rising in the House! And best of all, over the past two months we have seen a constant stream of brand new people coming to faith in Christ in our weekend worship experiences on both campuses.

Second, we have been working feverishly to launch the new website that you are reading this blog on. I hope you like it. In the coming months we plan to add a number of dynamic features including a video tour and a "virtual campus" for those who want to connect with City of Grace, but live too far away to attend one of our campuses.

In addition, I plan to use this blog for a couple of important purposes. First, I want to share my heart in "real time" rather than waiting for the weekend to roll around. Second, I want to keep you updated on important behind-the-scenes happenings here at City of Grace. And third, I want to keep the vision before our growing congregation so that we all speak and live the same thing.

It's good to be back and I'm looking forward to the days ahead. The best is yet to come!
