Marriage Ministry exists to uphold and support families and marriages. Marriage matters to God, and so we here at City of Grace provide many opportunities to enrich; encourage and enliven your marriage. Whether you have been married for 5 days or 55 years there is a spot for you.

Marriage Classes

Marriage Matters (Ages 35+)
Sundays 8:30am - 9:45am in Building 4, Room 422.
Team Leaders: Joe and Sandy Partain, 480-354-1155; John and Marti Sanborn, 480-838-3387, .

Your marriage matters to God and to us. Please join us every Sunday morning for this class for married couples. This class will provide a place to meet other couples and strengthen your marriage. The class will include teachings on marriage, small group time, and regular social events.

Marriage Matters Upcoming Teaching Schedule:

  • April 6-June 22:  Song of Solomon DVD Series by Tommy Nelson. Love, Sex, marriage, and romance can serve as the ultimate Jekyll and Hyde of life.  On one hand, they give us great joy and satisfy the deepest desires and needs, but such desires can also turn on us and plunge our lives into the deepest of pain.  Has God given us these desires, drives and needs, and yet failed to give us any guidance through what can be such treacherous ground?  I think not.  He has given us the Song of Solomon
  • June 29: Potluck breakfast and roundtable
  • July 6-July 20: The book of James taught by Joe Partain

 

 

Young Marrieds (20s & 30s)
Sundays at 8:30am - 9:45am in Building 4, Room 421.

Every marriage must be built on a strong foundation. God desires us to understand and live out His purpose for marriage. The Young Marrieds class is designed to connect couples primarily in their 20s and 30s to an open and authentic community where relationships can form and be used by God to change lives.

Young Marrieds Upcoming Teaching Schedule:

  • May 4-June 22:  Strong Families Class 100 DVD Series by Dr. John Trent
    For families and parents of all ages.
    Cost: $25 per person (Includes "Leading From Your Strengths" personal assessment and 28-page customized report of evaluation)

  • June 29: Bible Jeopardy Trivia Challenge Come join us as we challenge ourselves and increase our Bible knowledge, have fun with our friends and win some prizes! You won't want to miss out!

Young Marrieds Upcoming Social Schedule:

Before You Say I Do Premarital Class
Seriously dating? Preparing for Marriage? Determine if marriage is the right next step for you. We want to help you cultivate a marriage that will last! We will be addressing the following topics:

  • communication and conflict resolution
  • personal differences
  • budgeting
  • love languages
  • sexual intimacy
